This gathering concludes with a 22 stanza poem, "The Authors Contemplation of Mans life and Estate." The third gathering is headed "Supple[ment?] to Phyllis" and contains additional stanzas numbered and marked for inclusion in the first two parts. It concludes with a page of notes in another hand on "Labor whill it is day" and a receipt dated "December the 21, 1686" for "John Lasons wiffe."
